Our proven open gasification system allows our plants to operate 24/7 in places considered non economical by others. We have two proprietary systems to recapture energy and reduce landfill waste.

01 / MSW SYSTEM

Municipal & Industrial Waste

Our MSW system recovers energy from household and industrial waste streams. One tonne of waste converts into approximately one megawatt of power per hour.

02 / TIRE SYSTEM

Tire Recovery System

One tonne of discarded tires yields approximately 380+ litres of diesel, plus carbon black and recovered carbon black, two valuable industrial materials.

03 / COMMUNITY SCALE

Locally Manageable

We make it cost effective for smaller communities to manage their own waste, rather than ship it to their neighbours or to third world countries.

Each Blue Phoenix facility is built to operate continuously, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, for 25 years or more. Every plant is fully compliant with environmental regulations across Canada, the European Union, and the United States Environmental Protection Agency.

More than ten years of research and development have gone into our patented continuous open flow gasifier. Our system ensures complete pyrolysis of the distillates, generating a mixed gas rich in hydrogen, condensable, and free of pollutants, expelling only water vapour.

Analysis of exhaust gas from biomass and municipal solid waste, untreated. Gas non treated and non scrubbed. 50% ratio of MSW to biomass.

Gasification has important advantages over conventional combustion or incineration processes. It produces a lower level of pollutants, accepts a wide range of raw materials, and transforms environmental liabilities into fuels that would otherwise generate disposal costs.
